1 extra large onion, peeled & quartered
3 large cloves of garlic, peeled & smashed
1/2 cup of canola oil
1/2 cup of ketchup
Couple dashes of hot sauce
20 turns of the pepper grinder
Couple dashes of Slap Ya Mama Cajun seasoning
2 large lemons, sliced
1/4 cup of white vinegar
3 pounds of raw shrimp, shells & heads intact
1 tablespoon of liquid crab boil
1 cup of kosher salt
Small red potatoes
Ears of corn, cut into thirds
Smoked sausage

Rinse the shrimp. Fill a large 6-quart stockpot halfway with water and bring to a boil. Add the first nine ingredients and return the water to a boil. Add the shrimp and the crab boil and boil for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat. Add the salt and stir well to dissolve. Cover the pot and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Remove the shrimp and reserve the water, if desired to cook potatoes, corn and sausage.
